Schools Have to Be Patient When Students Return
Sat Jul 31, 2021 3:36 pm
Although COVID-19 remains a concern, as vaccination rates climb and public opinion of the pandemic shifts, life is slowly returning to “normal.” When summer vacation is finished, most school systems will resume in-person classrooms. According to US Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, those who did not intend to return will receive notice from the Department of Education. This is all excellent news, but it's vital to understand that returning to normalcy does not reverse what happened or remove the consequences. As a result, when pupils return, teachers will need to be patient with them.
