Accidents happen, and how to get water out of charging port can be a cause for concern. But fear not, as there are steps you can take to save your device from potential damage. Here is a step-by-step guide to safely and effectively remove water from your charging port:

Power off your device: Immediately turn off your device to prevent any electrical shorts or further damage.

Dry the exterior: Use a soft cloth or paper towel to gently wipe away any visible water from the charging port and surrounding areas. Be careful not to push the water further into the port.

Shake it out: Holding your device with the charging port facing downward, give it a few gentle shakes to help dislodge any water that may be trapped inside.

Absorb excess moisture: Take a clean, dry cloth or cotton swab and gently dab the charging port to absorb any remaining moisture. Avoid using excessive force or inserting anything into the port.

Use compressed air: If the water doesn't seem to be coming out, you can try using compressed air to blow out any lingering moisture. Hold the canister a few inches away from the charging port and give it short bursts of air.

Give it time: After following the above steps, allow your device to air dry for at least 24 hours before attempting to charge it again. This will ensure that all the water has evaporated and your device is safe to use.

Remember, prevention is always better than cure. To avoid future incidents, consider using protective cases or covers that offer water resistance for your device.
